Oh I’m glad you added the ps … it did sound hopeless. I try to find examples of people who are friends with their siblings, but it is sometimes a bit challenging. I like to think we’ll all be in a nursing home together, whatever these divides, but … that’s still a long way away, and the divides are painful NOW.

You know my first response sounds so hopeless and I’m sorry, because I know the “want” for my children to maintain a close relationship just like you do. Our parents weren’t allowed to be close, my siblings and I wouldn’t allow ourselves to be divided…. both ended up with issues that became walls. Maybe somewhere in the middle is the answer. I love you, cousin!

I’ve thought for years it was because of the way our parents were… now I just think sibling relationships are bound to destruct. That’s how the first one turned out. My sister and youngest brother, also not speaking for whatever reason. Haha…. only Michael has been spared. And that’s just as it should be!! He had a “good guy” moment coming to him!

Did I miss a post? What are you and David at sixes and sevens about? I’m sorry … Jennei and I have never been close, sadly, and we go back and forth between chatting and not. I would love a close sibling relationship, and I want dearly for my three children to have them. I hope you and he can peacefully (or not) patch things up soon.

I read this post and loved it (the surprise ending best of all) but forgot to comment. So glad you are outside of your comfort zone. Between goings on at my job and having three kids, I don’t even remember what my comfort zone was … although I do know I still miss it … I’m glad Eleanor reminds you of you … she does seem very Mills to me, and also I just love her like crazy.
